About AI service costs
SpeakOver uses your own accounts at two AI services: OpenRouter (translation and the English voice) and Deepgram (speech recognition). You pay them directly for what you use — typically about $1–3 per hour of speaking. We don't add anything on top, and your audio never passes through us. The app shows you step by step how to get both keys.

Questions
Do I have to do anything after recording?
No. When you press Stop, the video is saved with the English voice already in place, in sync with your picture. Upload it as it is.
Why is there a delay on live streams?
To translate a sentence, SpeakOver has to hear it first. So it holds your video back by a few seconds and plays the English while viewers see you saying it. Viewers don't notice; you'll just answer chat a few seconds later. Pick a mode to choose the delay.
What do I need to start?
A microphone, and keys for two AI services: OpenRouter and Deepgram. Creating them takes a few minutes and the app shows you how. Headphones are recommended.
How much do the AI services cost?
Typically about $1–3 per hour of speaking, paid directly to OpenRouter and Deepgram. Deepgram gives new accounts free credit to start.
Can it use my own voice?
Yes — with your own ElevenLabs account you can use a clone of your own voice. Only your own voice may be cloned; the app asks you to confirm it. Ready-made English voices work without any extra account.
Do I need OBS?
No. SpeakOver records and streams by itself, with your screen, camera bubble and game sound.
Should I tell viewers the voice is AI?
Yes. Platforms like YouTube ask creators to disclose realistic AI-made voices (YouTube Studio's "Altered content" setting for videos). SpeakOver shows you how for each platform.
Is my voice stored anywhere?
Not by us. Your audio goes from your computer directly to the AI services you connect, under their privacy terms. Recordings and logs stay on your computer. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I cancel or get a refund?

Can I use it on two computers?
Your license works on the number of computers your plan allows. To move it, release it on the old computer in Settings → License, then activate it on the new one.
